I help brands turn big ideas into clear strategies, memorable stories, and creative experiences people actually want to pay attention to. From brand strategy and creative direction to presentations, campaigns, and everything in between, let’s make something worth remembering.
MARGINALIA CREATIVE STUDIO
AN EXTRA CREATIVE BRAIN, WHEN YOU NEED ONE
Sometimes you need the big idea. Sometimes you know the idea and need help making it real. And sometimes you need someone who can zoom all the way out to the strategy, then all the way back into the design that brings it all to life.
That’s where I come in.

ways to work together
Start with the part you need. We’ll connect the rest.
Some projects begin with a big brand question. Others arrive as a half-formed idea, an outdated website, or something scribbled on a napkin. I work across strategy, creative direction, and design to help you find the idea, build the system, and make it come to life through thoughtful follow-through.
How It Works
After 15+ years of building brands, leading creative teams, and bringing ideas to life, I’ve learned that the best creative work starts long before anything gets designed. It starts with asking the right questions and knowing how to turn the answers into something meaningful.
This is a process I’ve used across brands, industries, teams, and projects of all sizes. The work may look different every time, but the approach stays intentionally simple: collaborative, strategic, flexible, and focused on making something that actually works.

We dig into what you're trying to accomplish, who you're trying to reach, what's getting in the way, and what success actually looks like.
We connect the dots and find the strategy, story, or creative idea that stands out. This becomes the thread that keeps everything else clear and cohesive.
Strategy becomes storytelling, design, and creative execution. We make, refine, and obsess over the details until the final thing feels as good as the idea behind it.
Marginalia offers brand strategy, creative direction, brand design, website design, social media strategy, and event design. That can mean finding your positioning, building a visual identity, designing a website, shaping an executive presentation, or connecting an entire campaign!
I work across strategy and execution, so I can help you figure out the idea and stay close to the details that bring it to life.
You don’t need to arrive with the right service name! Bring me what’s happening: your messaging feels scattered, your website no longer reflects the business, or your team has a big idea without the time to make it happen. We’ll talk through what you’re trying to accomplish and identify where creative support would make the biggest difference.
We can start with a single project or discuss support across a longer stretch of work. Typically, a pilot project is helpful to start just to see how the working relationship evolves. You might need one presentation, a website redesign, a brand strategy project, or a creative partner who can help connect several initiatives. We’ll define the scope, priorities, and working arrangement around what you need and my availability.
Yes. I can join an existing team to provide strategic thinking, creative direction, or hands-on design. Sometimes that means owning a specific deliverable; other times, it means connecting work across leaders, marketers, designers, and outside partners. We’ll establish responsibilities early so everyone knows who’s making what, where feedback belongs, and how we’ll move the work forward.
Pricing depends on the scope, complexity, deliverables, and level of collaboration involved. A presentation refresh and a full brand engagement need different amounts of time and attention. After we discuss your goals, I’ll put together a proposal outlining the work, investment, and timeline so you can make an informed decision before we begin.
A discovery call is a conversation about your business, what you’re working toward, and where you could use help. Bring any useful context: an existing website, a rough deck, a deadline, a budget range, or a half-formed idea. Nothing needs to be polished. The goal is to understand the opportunity and decide what a useful next step looks like.
